Chiaralascura started in 2010 as an online shop selling vegan themed t-shirts

In 2011 it was the first crowdfunding project to be funded on the italian website Eppela.

Now Chiaralascura is a wider project including:

- Illustrations and graphic design for our own projects or as a collaboration with events, brands and campaigns.
- An ethical clothing and lifestyle brand that produces organic clothing and illustrated goods
- A screen printing lab

Chiara Meloni: illustrator, grahic designer. screen printer and founder. I wanted to be a video animator but it didn't work out, luckily.

Our values

We believe in ethical fashion that produces clothing without exploitation and pollution. We only use organic cotton, bamboo or recycled fabrics that are produced using renewable energy and are certified by the Fairwear foundation, Fairtrade or equivalent organizations.

We screen print by hand in our lab using eco-friendly, safe and non toxic inks that have no phtalates and we only use soy and corn based cleaning products. We use minimal and reusable packaging.

We want to spread a message with our products: we are vegan, antifascist, feminists, antiracist, body positive and hate all kind of discrimination based on sex, gender identity, race, body shape and so on.

Plus size: we are too small to produce our t-shirts, so we use wholesale organic products and have no control on their size range, but we do our best: all our unisex tees go up to a 3xl and the black or white ones go up to a 5xl. We know we are not perfect but we  will continue to look for more inclusive suppliers and expand our sizes.
